This phrase, famously used by President John F. Kennedy, feels particularly appropriate for our club right now.

JDA needs to grow.

We also understand that growth can feel uncomfortable. There is something special about a smaller, close-knit team, and we do not want to lose that sense of community as we grow.

But thoughtful growth will make our program stronger.

More divers allow us to create larger training groups with athletes at similar developmental stages. Growth helps create camaraderie and energy in the gym and pool. It helps us retain talented young coaches. Most importantly, it gives us the financial strength to secure more pool time, invest in our staff, and continue improving the opportunities we can provide our athletes.

Our goal is not simply to become bigger. Our goal is to become better and more sustainable while preserving the culture that makes JDA special.

Help Us Grow JDA — and Save on Your Dues

Beginning this month, we are introducing a referral incentive for our current families.

For every new diver who joins JDA through your referral, your family will receive a $15 monthly credit for six months.

The credit can apply to as many as 10 new divers, meaning a family could receive up to $150 per month off dues for six months.

If you know a child who might enjoy diving, please invite them to come see what JDA is about. Some may simply discover a sport they love. Others may eventually have the opportunity to dive in college or beyond, as so many athletes from our previous programs have done.

Every new athlete strengthens the training environment, supports our coaching staff, helps us gain access to more training opportunities, and contributes to the long-term health of the program.

That is what we mean by raising all boats.
